We are proud to present the medal of the 23rd Poznań Marathon. The gold-coloured medal commemorates the 195th anniversary of the Raczynski Library in Poznan and the words of its founder – Edward Raczyński.
Made of metal alloy, the disc has a diameter of 7.5 cm and is 7 mm thick. It is decorated with an ornament alluding to the pattern seen on the facade of one of the builders’ houses neighbouring the Poznań Town Hall.
The obverse traditionally contains the date of the Poznań Marathon and its logotype. The reverse features the characteristic facade of the Raczynski Library. On this side of the medal, there is also space for the name of the competitor and the time achieved at the finishing line. It will be possible to fill in the reverse with this data immediately after the run. This is because a mobile engraving point will be operating in the finish area at MTP.
The medals will be given to the runners after they have crossed the finish line of our Marathon. The blue sash, with which medals will be equipped, refers to the graphic design present on the starters’ shirts.
See you in Poznań!
