Since Saturday, October 11, the Poznań Five run has new course records – both in the men’s and women’s categories. The fast run was won by Sebastian Nowicki (00:14:26), while Beata Michałków triumphed among the women (00:16:44).
1,867 runners crossed the finish line setting a new participation record for the event.
The podium results were as follows: Men:
- Sebastian Nowicki – 00:14:26 (course record)
- Daniel Kryzel – 00:14:36
- Damian Rudnik – 00:14:37
Women:
- Beata Michałków – 00:16:44 (course record)
- Magdalena Patas – 00:16:53
- Anna Czerw – 00:17:12
Interestingly, although the race took place in the capital of Greater Poland, the entire women’s podium was occupied by runners from Lower Silesia.
Children competed in the Pho3nix Kids Marathon, running distances from 100 to 1,000 meters. The youngest participants ran alongside their parents, while the older ones ran on their own. All children and Poznań Five finishers received special medals.
Now we’re looking forward to great excitement during the LOTTO 24th Poznań Marathon which will start on Sunday, October 12, at 9:00 a.m. More than 4,800 runners have registered for the event.
