Poznań Five: Faster and More Populous Than Ever!

The fourth edition of the Poznań Five run—held as a companion event to the Poznań Marathon—concluded with two new course records and a record attendance. On Saturday, October 3, Aleksii Pysarev from Ukraine crossed the finish line first in the men’s category (00:14:05), while Jecinta Mwende Kamau triumphed among women (00:15:59).

For the fourth time, the Poznań Five started in front of the Poznań International Fair. Participants ran down Grunwaldzka Street with a turnaround at the intersection with Grochowska Street, finishing the competition at Plac Marka within the Poznań International Fair grounds—the exact same spot where marathon runners would finish on Sunday. They had a maximum of 45 minutes to complete the 5-kilometer distance. A total of 1,895 people finished the Poznań “five,” setting a new attendance record for this Poznań Marathon companion event. The podium standings were as follows:
