11 Poznan Marathon

This year, the 10th Poznań Marathon was inscribe in a Polish marathons' history as a biggest run ever! Despite the rainy wether, 4614 participiants (4230 runners) from 23 countries took part in commemorative edition. 4018 runners, 342 skaters and 16 wheelchairs finished it.

This year edition was exceptional – organizers planned a new course, boosted an expo tent, moved start and finish lines, set up a great Pasta Party. Marathon and Press offices were reorganized. All those arrangements brought great satisfaction to all participiants.

Thanks to a very good promotion abroad, organizers expect an incrasing number of participients for next years, especially foreigners who are more than welcome.
Poznań Marathon is one of its kind because of the municipal authorities take part in the run. Mayor of Poznań Ryszard Grobelny took part in marathon for the sixth time with a very good result of 4:21:08 and Vice-mayor Mirosław Kruszyński for the first time with result of 05:03:40.
